lol... now THAT'S funny.
I have to agree. I think he's just as prone to injury as he always was....if not moreso due to age. you have to count yourself lucky to get 60 games out of tmac in a year. Dwayne Wade was never considered "injury-prone" until he suffered the exact same type of in-game collision. Only instead of a slight elbow sprain, he ended up with a major separated shoulder that took him over half a year to recover from. There are "chronic injuries" that occur over and over again -- T-Mac's back problem would be a good example of that, and you call people susceptible to them "injury prone". So far T-Mac has gone over a year without a recurrence of the back problem. Then there are freak injuries that can happen to anybody, like when your arm gets bent awkwardly in the wrong direction at full speed. It could've been a lot worse.

I don't see it as any indication that he is prone to injury like in the past.
lol... now THAT'S funny. ok, what i'm pointing at is the irony of your words. "I don't see this latest injury as any indication that he is prone to injury..." the fact you identify him as having past injury problems, and then say his injury doesn't make him injury prone is what i was laughing at. apparently that wasn't very clear. but can you see it? to the guy who said you have to consider yourself lucky to get 60 games out of McGrady, T-Mac averages 71 games a year, not including rookie and strike seasons. he played 71 games last year. the year before his serious back ailment, he played 78 games. he's played fewer than 70 games just twice in his career, not including rookie and strike seasons. he's not indestructible, but he's pretty durable. i would have to say you need to miss 15+ games a year due to injuries to be considered injury prone. T-Mac's back isn't a case of "injury prone" so much as it is a "chronic" injury. the difference being that a chronic injury is an injury that never REALLY goes away. it just flares up occasionally causing a player to miss time. otherwise they just play through it.

Well perhaps I could've been more careful with my choice of words, but at least you understand what I'm getting at.
An example of an "injury-prone" person would be Emeka Okafor -- he always manages to either break something or sprain an ankle so badly that he ends up missing one third of the season. Sucks too -- I like the guy and I think as good as he is now, injuries have really hampered his development. The perception of T-Mac has been skewed by the 2005-06 season like you said. Other than that season, he actually has been fairly durable especially considering his very high usage rate.

No joke! I'm not a big Francis fan honestly, but you gotta love that shot at the end of the game. Good grief. Beautiful!!!

Fluke. It was a terribly played game by the Rockets. We just couldn't do anything right all night. I think Mike James looked better than anyone on the team tonight. It happens.

Actually, no the Rockets don't look like last year's team. Last year's team didn't play sloppily and lose games to bad teams. Last year's team had about 14 blowout victories before New Year's Day. Last year's team played with defensive intensity all the time, didn't give up layups, contested every shot and knocked down their open threes. I know we need patience to allow Adelman's system to work itself out and it will take some time for the team to adjust, but I wouldn't be lying if I said I really, really miss Jeff Van Gundy.
